Sounds a lot like malignant narcissism, which Trump also suffers from. There is no cure. Such people must be removed from all power and ostracized or quarantined. If you know one, run.

It's truly disheartening when individuals with narcissistic traits attain success at the expense of others, as seen in cases like that of Dr. Paolo Macchiarini. Such instances underscore the critical need for holding professionals accountable for their actions and ensuring ethical standards in all fields. However, the focus must also be on supporting the victims of such misconduct. By raising awareness about narcissistic abuse and its profound impact on survivors, we can combat victim-blaming attitudes and foster a more supportive environment. And speak out against bullying.

Thank you for sharing this captivating story. It was because of your recommendation that we decided to watch it. 🙇🏻‍♀️

I absolutely agree with you point. The focus of the issue isn't on the fact that people like Dr. Macchiarini exists, it's the lack of holding these people accountable that was surprising. Although I had to commend his former colleagues who fought tooth and nail even when the tides were turning against them at some point. That's proper courage to do the right things when it mattered.

I think since Trump came to power in 2017, the the global sentiment really did shift for 'bully behaviours'. Suddenly where I'm from, it's acceptable to be a dick - it's 'normal'. And Thai people excuse awful behaviours constantly - 'oh, he/she's like that la. Don't think too much.' And what I've observed is a very tolerance culture with people losing their sense of what is right and wrong.

But I want to end on a positive note that on a global scale, the overall sentiment on narcissism is shifting. A lot of efforts have been put in to making people more aware of this increased tendencies in our society (note: capitalistic market is a huge driver of it). This is a progress worth embracing :)
