Lot of people aren’t strong enough to face truth , that’s why they run away from it . It’s better to embrace uncomfortable truth that you live with a comfortable lie 🤓

I love the quote you used in one of your posts - “We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers".

Oftentimes, it is our fears that hold us back the most. Also, “comfortable lies” can only be kept “alive” by the surrounding people enabling them.

"We are a generation obsessed with self-improvement, yet we're failing at building meaningful relationships" -> well said. We *know* that it's the deep relationships with others that truly matter in life, and yet we seem to struggle to act on this. The societal context (including dating apps) isn't making it any easier.

I loved this article 👏, looking forward to future posts on how we can all do better!

Dating apps have definitely traumatised some of my single friends for life. Looking at the business model of these apps, you have to wonder if the creators really want you to find 'love' or they want you more engaged on the app? I read a while back about an unethical tactic used by restaurant and bar businesses to drive traffic by getting AI bots to match with people on dating apps. When it's a no-show, 4 out of 5 people stay on to eat and drink at the establishment anyway. No wonder we are all a little bit insecure these days.

Thank you again for the kind compliment. So nice to see that you have subscribed!

That Schmactenberger video plunged me into an ongoing, horrifying fascination with the metacrisis for two years of fulltime study and counting (and which I blog about here). The second one (norrsken 2) is better and nicer, btw.
